The 2011 Australia and New Zealand Zebrafish Meeting, hosted by the University of Queensland will be held February 6-9, 2011 at the Tangalooma Island Resort, Australia.
This conference is open to anyone interested in using zebrafish as a model organism.
-Event- The 20th CDB Meeting: Molecular Bases for Evolution of Complex Traits Data: 2/23/2011-2/24/2011 Location: Japan
The 20th CDB Meeting entitled, "Molecular Bases for Evolution of Complex Traits,”will be held February 23-24, 2011 at the RIKEN Center for Developmental Biology in Kobe, Japan. This meeting is co-sponsored by the Grant-in Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas "Genetic Bases for the Evolution of Complex Adaptive Traits" from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)
Meeting topics include the following: Molecular, genomic, and developmental backgrounds for symbiosis among various organisms, morphological novelties, acquisition of complex and functional mechanics, biological networks for specific adaptations, etc.
Application deadline is Friday, December 24th, 2010. There are also a limited number of travel fellowships available for young scientists from abroad. The deadline for the travel fellowship application is Friday, December 3rd, 2010.
