The 21st IUBMB and the 12th FAOBMB International Congress of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology will be held in Shanghai， China on August 2-7， 2009. This year's Congress will be hosted by the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

The conference will cover four major themes of life science: genome dynamics and gene regulation， protein structure， dynamics and proteomics， cell signalling and network， molecular basis of diseases. Many world-renowned scientists from these research areas have been invited to speak at this event.

Registration for the Congress opens January 1st and the deadline for registration and abstract submission is July 1st， 2009.
