The RIKEN CDB-QBiC Joint Symposium entitled， "Towards Innovation in Developmental Cell Biology: The Impact of Emerging Technologies" will be held June 30 to July 1， 2011 in Kobe， Japan.

The aim of this symposium is to address how we can understand complex and important biological questions by bringing together experts and young scientists from the fields of biology， biophysics， optics， and computational biology.

The topics include advanced light microscopy， biophysics， computation biology， and multidimensional cell culture techniques for analysis of disease pathogenesis， organogenesis and regeneration.

Deadline for registration is Friday， June 24.
Deadline to submit images or movies for an on-site contest is Friday， June 10.
